FAQs
How will my skin look after a microdermabrasion?
Smooth, more refined and achieve a healthier skin after each treatment.
When can I put make-up on?
Usually right after the microdermabrasion treatment. Make-up goes on beautifully!
Will I be red and blotchy from the Glycolic Peel?
No. Your skin will have a very smooth and firm appearance. It will increase the collagen production in the Dermal area with continued peels.
Will Glycolic Peels get rid of my dark and red spots?
Yes, the dark and red spots are called Post Inflammatory Macules. They will disappear with several peels because of new generations of skin cells
Who should NOT use the GLY+ Products?
Anyone that has just had a deep chemical peel; however, they may begin products after approximately six weeks. Do not use the GLY+ Program if you have
any open sores on your face or hands.
When can I do my first 17.5% out-patient peel?
You may start using the 17.5% out-patient peel as soon as you and your physician decide it is appropriate. You will gradually become acclimated to the glycolic wipes. By increasing the time by one minute every two weeks no adverse reactions should occur. However, the user should expect a brief period of tingling and redness afer applying the wipes. If discomfort persists, spray or apply cool water. If any severe reaction occurs discontinue use of the product and consult your physician.
What can I expect after my peel ?
Expect some dryness and superficial peeling of the skin. If this persists you can use a moisturizer at night until the dryness stops. What is occurring is an almost invisible exfoliation of the dry and pigmented uppermost layer of your skin that eventually will result in your skin looking and feeling beter than ever. Expect a brief period of tingling and redness after applying the wipes. If discomfort persists, spray or apply cool tap water.
Use of this product may make your skin sensitive to sunlight. We recommend that you apply an oil-free, non-paba sun-block with SPF 30 or higher, when going outdoors.
We recommend Sun Smart SPF 30 because it contains Zinc Oxide which is the best available protection for your skin.
What products can I use after a peel?
You may use the Revitralizing+ Vitamin C-Serum to treat post peel inflammation. Do not apply any other facial care products after GLY+ treatments. Make up may be applied as long as it is water-based. (Oil-based products will reduce the effectiveness of the GLY+). |
